Situation

Due to acquisitions, Thermo Fisher decided to standardize on the Microsoft Collaboration stack as their internal collaboration platform. There was key content in Jive that needed to be maintained going forward on Office 365/SharePoint on-prem.

Solution

ThreeWill leveraged it’s Jive to Microsoft Migration Utilities and Agile Migration process to migrate critical Jive content to Office 365/SharePoint on-prem before the expiration of the Jive licenses.

Business Benefits

Thermo Fisher was able to save the annual cost of the Jive license fee and was able to move to a new, consolidated collaboration platform.  All critical content from the Jive platform was preserved and is now available for continued collaboration.  There was no downtime for users of the site during the migration.

Situation

Through consolidation and acquisitions there were many SharePoint based intranet portals and no consistent user experience or taxonomy.  Searching for the best of breed content and knowledge leaders on specific services and industries was difficult.  Additionally, the portals were not optimized for a mobile workforce.

Polycomm Real Presence Media Manager and SharePoint Connector

Client Profile

A multinational corporation that develops video, voice and content collaboration and communication technology.

Situation

Polycom customer’s have a requirement to render PRMM (Polycom Real Presence Media Manager) video content via their existing Intranet Portals. They also need a unified Search experience that will search and display search results from both SharePoint and PRMM content. Polycom additionally needed support in migration of this PRMM – SharePoint Integration Module from SharePoint 2010 to SharePoint 2013.

Solution

A PRMM-SharePoint Connector (Integration Module) that enabled customers to search and view PRMM Video content within their SharePoint 2013 Intranet Portals. Custom Search Display Templates and Hover Cards were created to render Search Results across SharePoint and PRMM video content.

Cross Functional

A Cross Functional team is a group of people with different functional expertise working toward a common goal. It may include people from finance, marketing, operations, and human resources departments. Typically, it includes employees from all levels of an organization. Cross-functional teams often function as self-directed teams assigned to a specific task which calls for the input and expertise of numerous departments.
