Kirk Liemohn is a Principal Software Engineer in the Transformation Practice at ThreeWill. He has spent nearly a decade helping clients transform and migrate their content from one platform to another (typically to Microsoft 365) with a focus on the more complex scenarios. Prior to his transformation focus, Kirk led several key SharePoint integrations at ThreeWill including Jive, Polycom, and Confluence.
We get this question regularly. It is a very anxious feeling to realize that you have all of this content in Jive and not know how it will end up when moved to another platform. You may already realize that this isn’t a simple “lift and shift” process when going from one platform to another. The platforms have plenty of similarities, but they have plenty of differences as well. We hear many clients wondering:
- Will comments be retained?
- What about attributing the author and timestamp?
- Can our home and landing pages be migrated?
- What happens to Jive links within Jive content?
(and many more…)
Some of these questions are short or easy “yes” answers and some of them require more explaining. As the old saying goes “a picture is worth a thousand words”. But better yet, we would like to provide you with an interactive guided tour of live pages where we show you Jive content and what it looks like after it has been migrated to Microsoft 365. This also gives you an opportunity to ask questions that are important to you.
We call this our Employee Experience Presentation. This is a one-hour presentation where we introduce ourselves and our history with Jive (hint, it goes back to 2008) and then start showing before and after pages for various Jive content types and landing pages. For example, you’ll be able to see before/after experiences for content types such as the following:
In addition, you’ll be able to see before/after experiences for home/landing pages:
But a picture doesn’t really do it justice, because you can’t effectively scroll in a picture, you can’t hover over content in a picture, and you can’t ask a picture any questions. That’s why we think the Employee Experience Presentation is a great step in learning more about how ThreeWill can help you with your migration needs. It’s better than “seeing is believing” – it’s more like “experiencing it is believing” 😊.
We hope you consider this a good first step in learning how ThreeWill can help you migrate and transform your existing Jive platform to the Microsoft 365 platform. Click below to schedule the Employee Experience Presentation today!
In the meantime, feel free to check our Jive Migration:
