What are Microsoft 365 Groups?

These days, collaborating with colleagues can be a real challenge. You’ve got different conversations happening all the time, files stored everywhere, and countless meetings to coordinate and keep track of. Microsoft 365 Groups simplify the collaboration process by connecting you to people, information, and tools you need to get work done together. It’s easy to create a new group or join one that already exists. They’re all public by default, so you can connect right away without waiting for permission. Each group features an inbox to keep everyone in the loop on all the latest discussions.

Once you’ve subscribed to a group, you can even take part in a discussion from your personal inbox. Whenever there’s a need to meet, the group calendar makes coordinating a cinch. Any group member can create or update events to keep the team moving forward, even when you’re out. To track group events, just add them to your personal calendar, or display the group calendar next to your own. Because collaboration usually involves working on content, Groups makes file sharing fast and easy. One click is all it takes to upload files to OneDrive for Business and grant group members permission to use them. You can edit or co-author files from Outlook Web App using Office Online.

As you work, the side by side document conversation let’s you discuss the changes without leaving the context of your inbox or file. When you’re finished, Groups automatically makes the latest version available to every member. You can even take your team with you on the road. Groups are mobile and touch-friendly so you can stay on top of conversations, events, and content from any device. You and your coworkers are destined to do great things together. Microsoft 365 Groups makes it a whole lot easier.
