About Tim

Tim Coalson is a Senior Consultant in the Delivery Practice at ThreeWill. Tim has been developing solutions on the SharePoint platform for over 15 years and has been a developer/consultant for over 30 years. Tim’s current focus is on helping organizations thrive in their communication, collaboration and automation by delivering our Intelligent Intranet, Teams Enablement and Power Platform service offerings.  Tim is also a Microsoft Certified Teams Administrator Associate.

Experience

  • Lead consultant on Intelligent Intranet and Microsoft Teams enablement service offerings.  The goals of these services are to enhance communication and collaboration within organizations while establishing good governance practices.
  • Developed an Inspection and Timesheet Management application for a State of Georgia agency.  Inspections, inspection documents and time allocated toward inspections are tracked within this Power Apps application. YTD burn against budget is also tracked. Power Automate is leveraged to send notifications to inspectors when inspections are assigned or updated.
  • Developed a document repository for a State of Georgia agency leveraging SharePoint and Power Apps.  Migrated content from the legacy system to the new application.
  • Developed a Power App application to manage Employee Certifications within a State of Georgia agency.
  • Developed a Power App application to track parking rates at hotels and parking lots for competitive analysis.
  • Developed a Power App application to manage warehouse and forklift inspections.
  • Developed a Power App application to manage employee requests for company tickets to events in the Atlanta area.
  • Developer on a project to enhance and deploy a Microsoft Teams Request and Provisioning application. Power Apps, Power Automate, Azure Runbooks, Logic Apps, and PnP Provisioning templates were all part of this integrated solution.
  • Technical Lead on a project to migrate thousands of SharePoint sites from SharePoint 2007 and SharePoint 2016 to SharePoint Online. A migration framework previously developed by ThreeWill was enhanced and leveraged to spread the migration load across 10+ servers to gain greater migration throughput. A SharePoint list provided real-time status on each site that was part of the migration plan.
  • Technical lead on a project to migrate SharePoint sites to Microsoft Teams and SharePoint Online. A Power App application was leveraged to allow site owners to opt-in or opt-out of the migration and to also choose their migration target of SharePoint or Teams.

Tim has worked on SharePoint applications for many years where one of the main requirements was “we don’t want this to look like SharePoint”. Tim has implemented public sites, intranets, and extranets and built many solutions to help support business processes. Tim is particularly excited about the Microsoft no code/low code platform which provides tools to quickly prototype and create solutions that solve real business problems and support teams to be even more productive….especially when coupled with the collaboration available in Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and other M365 services. Tim can help you migrate your data to the cloud and then leverage the M365 services to get the most value out of the data to help drive your business.
